The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) will on Thursday, 31 October 2019, visit the Baby Lovers Blessings in Port Elizabeth as part of the CCMA’s Nelson Mandela Legacy Programme. CCMA Governing Body Chairperson, Makhulu Ledwaba and Acting National Senior Commissioner: Dispute Resolution, Marius Kotze will as part of the programme, officially handover a cheque valued at R35 750 to Baby Lovers Blessing.

Baby Lovers Blessings is a beacon of hope and a true blessing to less fortunate mothers and babies residing in and around Port Elizabeth in Eastern Cape. This Non-Profit Organisation believes that all babies should have a dignified arrival into life.

Baby Lovers Blessings provides mothers and their newly born babies with support and basic essentials after birth. They prepare care packs for the mother consisting of sanitary pads, soap and underwear and a hamper for the baby containing a blanket, baby romper, toiletries and other necessities to make the mother-baby journey a pleasant and memorable one.

Their impact was a strong motivation to qualify them as a beneficiary of the CCMA Indaba 2018 Nelson Mandela Legacy Programme – as nominated by the CCMA Port Elizabeth Office.

Through this initiative, the CCMA seeks to make everyday a Mandela Day through a tangible and positive impact to South African Communities. The CCMA Nelson Mandela Legacy Programme is a pledge of funds from CCMA Employees and the following community projects have since benefited:
